Thanks to everyone who participated in today's webinar. As expected, many useful tips and techiques were part of the lively discussion.
Becky Heil from the Dubuque County Library in Iowa and Sherry Millington from the Suwannee River Regional Library in Florida both shared their experiences with the project, and both shared their dreams for what they'd like to see MaintainIT cover in the future. I'm so glad they both spoke up on this topic, because your needs--libraries' needs--are at the heart of what we do at TechSoup, and it's those great ideas that spark our projects. The MaintainIT Project couldn't have happened without the experiences and ideas from libraries behind it!
For instance, Sherry mentioned to me not so long ago about her desire to see more content around green tips for libraries, and now TechSoup's GreenTech Initiative is spotlighting libraries in their work! Right now on MaintainIT's site, we're inviting libraries to share what tools they've used to reduce travel and their impact on the Earth for GreenTech's month-long Telegreen your Work event. Each Monday we'll spotlight a new guest blogger with great ideas on this topic. Check out this Monday's entry from Sarah Willeford of the Central Iowa Library Service Area.
