discoveries shared from the Ukiah Public Library

When I talk to librarians about the MaintainIT Project, I sometimes mention that even if you think you have nothing to offer the project, someone else may learn from your experiences. On the web site, we say, "remember what may be 'that's nothing' to you may be an 'aha!' to someone else."

Well, yesterday, Eliza Wingate from the Ukiah branch of the Mendocino County Library shared a discovery that fits snugly into that category. She wrote:

MaintainIT Project on the road!

In true grassroots fashion, the MaintainIT Project is taking to the road to visit rural libraries in northern California, gathering stories about maintaining public computers, spreading the word about Cookbooks, and learning about the triumphs and challenges libraries face.
