Gaming in Florida

Lori Reed is most likely a familiar name to you. She's a regular contributor to TechSoup for Libraries and MaintainIT. She recently facilitated an online class for NEFLIN, "Gaming in Libraries", which was based on content from the MaintainIT Cookbook, Planning for Success. I talked to Lori after the session and asked her how it went. Here's her reply.

"Yesterday I got to do an online learning session about the innovation
section from the latest MaintainIT Project cookbook. Ironically the
participants were from the area near my hometown of St. Augustine, FL.
It's great that technology can put us instantly in touch with people
from far away.

The folks from NEFLIN and I had a great hour talking about gaming in
libraries. All of the participants were already doing some kind of
gaming program whether big or small and all were excited about the new
ideas shared.

NEFLIN provides its library community with a variety of games and
equipment that member libraries can borrow. What a great idea and
great resource for those libraries!"

Thanks for sharing, Lori! Lori has facilitated gaming webinars for MaintainIT, too. They can be found in the archive. The MaintainIT Cookbook content is meant to be used and we encourage you to use it in your continuing education opportunities, too. And if you do use it, we would love to hear about it and share your experience here!
