ALA Members: Free Online Advocacy Training from PLA

I've heard such great things about the Advocacy workshops that were given as part of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation funded program, Turning the Page: Building Your Library Community, developed by the Public Library Association. And now you can take an online version to learn about creating community partnerships, building alliances with local and regional decision makers, and ultimately increasing funding for your library.

Register for Turning the Page online or resume your training session here Dynamic slides and interactive exercises help you develop an Advocacy Work Plan. Training can be stopped and resumed as needed and typically takes 4-5 hours to complete. From library directors to trustees—Turning the Page online is appropriate for everyone interested in making a difference for their library.
