About Us

TechSoup for Libraries is a project of TechSoup Global, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit devoted to making technology and technology education available and affordable to nonprofits and libraries all over the world.

TechSoup for Libraries grew out of a desire to specifically address the technology needs of public libraries. An important part of the program is the information developed as part of the MaintainIT Project, which was funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and managed by TechSoup Global. The Project gathered stories from public libraries about how they support their public computers. These tips and techniques are published in "Cookbooks" and articles, available for free on our website.

TechSoup for Libraries continues to gather and share stories from the field so libraries can keep learning from each other.

Get in touch with us by emailing techsoupforlibraries AT techsoupglobal DOT org to ask questions or offer feedback, so we can learn from your experiences. We’d love to promote your library in our work. You can also receive updates about about our content, our TechSoup donation program, and our training resources by signing up for our monthly newsletter.

Have a story to tell?

Tell us about your daily routine maintaining public computers, or a moment when you were particularly proud. Don't forget that what might be "that's nothing" to you may be an "aha!" to someone else!
